A FTTW Representative will be at the WATSONVILLE CAMPUS weekly in Room #4324 / Student Resource Center.

Beginning MARCH 7, 2012 Jenna will be there from 9:00 – 12:00 noon to assist students with paperwork.

Fast Track Office Closure

The FTTW office will be closed on Thursday, March 1st from 3-5 pm.  We will be attending the "HIGH ACHIEVER'S SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS".   Please feel free to join us at the Sesnon House, to support your peers!

Student Emergency Loans

Short-term, no interest loans for emergencies are available to students through the Vice President of Student Services Office. You may borrow up to $100 if registered in 6-11 units, and up to $200 if registered in 12+ units. This loan must be paid back by the end of the semester. Contact Sandi Moore in Student Activities Center, East, room 218 for details and an application.

Spring 2012 Census Date

Tuesday, February 21st is the census date for full term spring courses.

Just as it is your responsibility to register yourself for a class, it is also your responsibility to drop a class when you decide not to continue. The timing of a drop makes a difference in whether or not you owe the college for a course you registered for or if you will receive a refund.  It could also impact your financial aid and may limit your ability to receive aid in the future.

If you have made the decision not to continue in a class, drop your class on WebAdvisor by February 18th which is also the last day to drop a class and receive a refund.  After that point, the add/drop feature is turned off and charges incurred will remain, including those who are subsequently dropped by faculty on the census date.

If you are not yet certain if you are going to register or drop a course, keep in mind that Financial Aid will not make adjustments to financial aid awards beyond the census date.

CalWORKs Work Study Funds Available

If you are interested in CalWORKs Work Study, please stop by the office to pick up an application and make an appointment to meet with Alicia. Work Study funds will be given on a first come first served basis.

WIA Transportation Reimbursement

Hello WIA students! We are happy to let you know you may now receive a reimbursement of $5/day for transportation costs to attend Spring 2012 classes. You may pick up a Transportation Reimbursement form at the Fast Track To Work office. These forms should be filled out during the semester and submitted directly to your ETS at the County at the end of the semester.

March In March

On March 5^th community college students from across California will be traveling to Sacramento and marching to our state’s capitol. You are welcome to join the Student Senate on their bus to Sacramento. They have one bus that is about half full and would like to fill it and order a second bus.

 

Anyone attending must arrive at the gym parking lot at 5:30am. All students who wish to sign up must come to SAC East and, to secure their spot, pay a $5.00 refundable deposit that will be returned to them when they check in to board the bus. (Sorry, children are not allowed on the bus trip.)

Borrow A Book Program

The Borrow a Book Program has moved from the Transfer Center to Student Activities Center, East Wing, room 218. Students may pick up applications there.
Students are allowed to borrow one book per semester, and it must be returned at the end of the semester. Also, there is a very limited supply of books.

Student Co-op Meeting Today

The MAX Co-op is having it's first meeting today (2/13/12) in Sac West Rm #214.
Please join us at 4 pm today to learn about service. We will be discussing Scholarships,
and the other programs we are focusing on. 

We will also be gathering gently used kid's clothes today at 3pm in the same spot!

What to bring?
Please donate your children’s gently used clothing including; shoes, shorts, skirts, pants, shirts, sweat shirts, jackets, PJ’s etc.
(NO socks, underwear or stained items please)
