Spring 2011 Semester Fees
If you are planning on taking Spring 2011 classes and you have not yet registered, do so ASAP to make sure you get the classes you need! Fees for your classes will be added to your account as soon as you register.
If you have already registered and did not select a parking permit or bus pass, please do so as soon as possible. In WebAdvisor, under the Registration section, click on "Optional: Parking Permit, Bus Pass, Childcare Fund." Select a parking permit or bus pass and click Submit.
WIA Students: After you have registered, please let us know so that we may write a voucher to cover your fees.
CalWORKs students: After you have registered, let your ETS at the County know what your class schedule is and the balance due.

New WIA Galli Uniform Purchases Process
We have a voucher system in place for WIA students to purchase required items at Galli Uniform Company. You must follow the process below and NOT purchase items with personal funds.
Remember you must be enrolled in the class, not on the wait list, before you can get supplies. And you must have enough funds in your WIA account to cover the costs.
Bring to the Fast Track To Work office:
- a list of requested items
- current class schedule printout from WebAdvisor
- copy of your syllabus showing the required items

Registration for Spring 2011 Classes
Continuing students should be registering for Spring 2011 classes this week.
Log into WebAdvisor to look up your classes.
Click on "Students Click Here"
Under "Registration", click on "Register for Sections"
If you do not know the class section number, click on "Search and Register"
choose Spring 2011 for "Term", then look up your classes. You do not need to fill in all the fields.
once you find the classes you want, click on "Submit"
the classes will be added to your Preferred Sections
If you do know the class section number, click on "Express Register"
enter the section numbers for all your classes and click "Submit"
the classes will be added to your Preferred Sections
These classes will sit in your account and be there for you when your date and time slot for registering arrives.

No Books for Spring 2011...
Make sure your current education plan matches your Spring 2011 regstration. If it does not, you must make an appointment with our academic counselor to update your plan. You will not receive Spring books if you are not following your approved education plan.

WIA Transportation Reimbursement Forms
When you submit your Fall semester transportation reimbursement form at the end of the semester, please also submit a current copy of your schedule. We will be checking the dates on your schedule with the transportation form.
Remember, you must turn in your form AFTER your last class, but by January 7th, 2011. Make sure your form is completely filled in so your reimbursement check is not delayed!

Walnut Avenue Women's Center Expands Services
In the new state budget, the governor restored 20.4 million dollars in funding for domestic violence services, about 80% of the funds that had been redlined in 2009! The funds will be distributed to the 94 DV agencies in the state. This means that the Walnut Avenue Women’s Center is open again on Wednesdays.
Domestic Violence Services offered are: One-on-One Peer Advocacy; Legal Advocacy; Support Groups; Career Advancement Workshops; Emergency Interim Shelter; Clinical Counseling; Community Education; Internships and a 24 Hour Bilingual Crisis Hotline 1-866-2MY-ALLY (1-866-269-2559).
